King Michael I granted the Royal Patronage to the Romanian Olympic and Sports Committee

Monday, the 9th of March 2015, Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Margareta granted, on behalf of King Michael I, His Majesty’s Patronage to the Romanian Olympic and Sports Committee.

The ceremony took place in The King’s Hall of Elisabeta Palace in Bucharest and was followed by an official dinner. Their Royal Highnesses Prince Radu and Princess Marie were present.

Representing the Romanian Olympic Committee were Mr Alin Petrache, President, members of the Board, and Olympic champions.

The Romanian Olympic Committee was founded in 1914, during the last year of the reign of King Carol I.
