What a sorrow! King Michael was a great man, under inexpressibly difficult circumstances, and a good man. My condolences to the new Head of the Royal House of Romania, Margareta, Custodian of the Crown; to the Royal Family; and to the people of Romania whom King Michael loved with all of his heart.
My most heartfelt and sincere condolences to you, Margareta, and the entire Romanian Royal Family. King Michael I was one of a kind, a source of strength to his people. His resilience in the face of adversity and his steadfast conviction are a source of inspiration to us all.

Very saddened by the passing away of HM King Michael. A true Romanian admired throughout Europe and around the world for his courageous actions in WWII.

His Majesty King Michael I was an inspiration to all who met him, and I cherish those memories of my meetings with him. It is important and gratifying that HRH Princess Margareta has inherited the Crown, and we look forward to the day when she can be crowned as Sovereign Queen of Romania; she is a true daughter of His Majesty, and Romania deserves to have the Monarchy restored to add lustre and honour to the nation. The International Strategic Studies Association Center for the Study of Monarchy, Traditional Governance, and Sovereignty will continue to pay homage to King Michael and to the new era of the Romanian Crown.
